Win More Clients — Build Empathy to Earn Trust

Win More Clients With Empathy. How can you become a better designer? Instead of complaining about your clients, try looking at the world through your client’s eyes by using empathy. What Does It Mean To Look At The World Through Your Client’s Eyes? If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at will change.

By using empathy, you’ll solidify your expertise with them, clearly defining the roles of your engagement.

Why you really don’t want them to tell you what they want.

Is this a client that is a good fit for me? Or am I a good fit for them?

0:30 Clients can not articulate what they want – because it hard to explain something visual with words because they aren’t in the industry.
1:20 Your ideal client may someone who is very discerning with good taste. Find if you are a good fit for your clients and vice versa.
2:00 When someone is happy with your work, trust and rapport are built into the relationship.
3:00 Start Empty: Don’t have an agenda and begin your meeting without any expectations so that you can understand it from the client’s point of view.
3:38 If you want to make your art, do it on your own time as a side hustle.
3:55 Success and happiness to me is doing good work for clients that appreciate it, and doing work that gives me the opportunity to grow and evolve.
