Why is an audience more valuable than customers? Why is traditional advertising and marketing dead? How do you build an audience? How can attention be worth more than the money?

All companies have customers. Few companies have an audience.

In today’s society, no one wants to be sold to. There’s a big shift in thinking: moving away from looking at people as customers, but rather as an audience. A customer buys your product, a transaction happens, and your relationship is over. An audience is more of a “true fan”. They enroll in your tribe and share the same values. They stay.
