Tree Talks (Part 1)

Staged on January 25 2023 in the Barbican Concert Hall, Tree Talks was conceived by Judith Lösing, director at East and the recipient of the first Architecture Foundation Research Fellowship. The event served as the starting point for the London Arboretum, a new programme of residencies, talks and publications around trees in the capital.

The speakers in part one of the evening included:

Richard Wentworth: Artist
Loretta Bosence, Local Works Studio: Landscape Architect, Circular Economies
Sebastian Cox: Furniture Maker and Woodland Manager
Je Ahn Studio Weave: Architect
Neal Shasore, London School of Architecture: Historian and Educator
Clarissa Carlyon: producer and musician

For over 30 years, the Architecture Foundation has brought together professionals from across the built environment to discuss and act on issues related to design and the built environment. With a renewed focus on the city and the critical intersection of architecture and politics, the Architecture Foundation works to effect meaningful change on policy and practice.
