HAT Projects: Gasworks, High House Artists’ studios, SPACE Ilford & Trinity Works

Hana Loftus, director of HAT Projects, presents their distinctive approach to artist studio provision, from renovations of existing buildings such as SPACE Ilford within Redbridge Town Hall supported by the Mayor of London (2019), to purpose-built affordable studios at High House Studios in Essex (2014). Hana presents the lecture from the practice’s own studio in a repurposed 1970s church – now a thriving artist-maker creative hub for Colchester, reworked and developed by HAT Projects.

A CENTURY OF THE ARTIST’S STUDIO
This lecture forms part of a new series highlighting collective models of artist studio provision, in partnership with the Whitechapel Gallery to coincide with their current exhibition ‘A Century of the Artist’s Studio 1920 – 2020’ which runs until 29 May 2022.
