Davis is Assistant Professor of Architectural History and Criticism at the University at Buffalo, where his research examines the historical intersections of race and style theory in modern architectural debates. He is the author of Building Character: The Racial Politics of Modern Architectural Style (2016) and co-editor of the forthcoming book Race and Modern Architecture.
