Francesco Garutti, curator of contemporary architecture at the CCA, presents Our Happy Life: Architecture and Well-Being in the Age of Emotional Capitalism. This exhibition is a three-act study on the new spatial models founded on the measurement of happiness; including a dissection of the political project behind methods of city data collection and application, an investigation of the emotional component of the real estate market, and a demystification of the idea of social space. Our Happy Life is a narrative anti-manual which explores and interprets recent paradigms that are shaping our present perception of place, giving new identity to the materials of the private space of our homes, reconceiving our working environments, and transforming development itself through the planning of our cities.
The presentation will be followed by a reception and the opening of the exhibition.

Francesco Garutti, conservateur d’architecture contemporaine, présente l’exposition Nos jours heureux : Architecture et bien-être à l’ère du capitalisme émotionnel. Cette exposition est une étude en trois actes sur les nouveaux modèles spatiaux fondés sur la mesure du bonheur, qui inclut une dissection du projet politique derrière les méthodes de collecte et de mise en œuvre de données sur la ville, une étude de la composante émotionnelle du marché immobilier, et une démystification de l’idée d’espace social. Nos jours heureux est un antimanuel narratif qui explore et interprète ces paradigmes qui façonnent notre perception actuelle du lieu, confèrent une nouvelle identité aux matériaux de l’espace privé de nos maisons, reconçoivent nos environnements de travail et transforment l’aménagement en soi à travers la planification de nos villes.
La présentation sera suivie d’une réception et du vernissage de l’exposition.
Un service de garde gratuit et entièrement assuré est disponible pour les enfants de trois ans et plus qui peuvent utiliser les toilettes de façon indépendante, de 18h à 19h30. Offert en collaboration avec Le Lion et la souris / The Lion and The Mouse.
