Reunion is an electric dance film that evokes the energy and elegance of Ami Paris’ Spring/Summer 2022 collection, directed by New York-based filmmaker Sandra Winther. Paris Opera dancers Letizia Galloni and Simon Le Borgne find each other in the ruins of Belchite, a gothic old town that shows the possibility of renewal.
Lit by the nascent embers of dusk, the two dancers begin their quest in separate locations. Their outstretched arms and folded movements ripple with nostalgic longing for another body, for another soul. As the music builds and the two locations resolve into one, the film’s opening sensation of isolation gradually melts away under the rising sun.
