HALO Architects Ltd operates from Oulu, Finland since 2008. The practice has a widerange of different approaches to architecture, ranging from cultural venues, housing projects and furniture design to land usage planning, architectural competitions andgraphic design.
Tuomas Niemelä is educated in University of Oulu, Department of Architecture. In additionto everyday architectural work he teaches contemporary architecture at the Oulu School of Architecture and gives lectures in Finland and abroad.
Janne Laukka graduated from University of Oulu in 2006. He has been involved in University’s research projects on lighting design and teaching in University’s international architectural program. He has a working history in architectural practices in Finland and in New Zealand, most notably with the team of Architects m3 Ltd, where he worked until establishment of HALO.
