The “Lulu” Metropolitan Opera Talk at The Museum of Modern Art | MoMA LIVE



The Metropolitan Opera presents a panel discussion at The Museum of Modern Art focusing on the new production of Alban Berg’s “Lulu,” directed by William Kentridge which premieres at The Metropolitan Opera on November 5, 2015. The evening will explore Kentridge’s unique theatrical vision for Berg’s notorious femme fatale, and the singers will share insights on their interpretations of their roles in Berg’s powerful modern masterpiece.

The discussion will be moderated by Met general manager Peter Gelb. Panel: William Kentridge, opera singers: Marlis Petersen (Lulu), Susan Graham (Countess Geschwitz), Daniel Brenna (Alwa), and Johan Reuter (Dr. Schön/Jack the Ripper), and conductor Lothar Koenigs.
