Quai 417

Montreal, Canada, 2012-06-26 –

In the heart of Old Montreal, Quai 417 is the new multi-label ready to wear and accessories store for men and women. In a loading dock-like decor signed Saucier + Perrotte architect, lines from Canadian designers hang side by side with a hand-picked, exclusive selection from international designers. As the seasons and collections come and go, video directors, sculptors and other contemporary artists will be invited to use the space. Quai 417 is a unique project that will transcend the frontiers of fashion.

A.F. Vandevorst
Behind the red cross of A.F. Vandevorst stand An Vandevorst and Filip Atricks, a couple in life as well as design. Their collections bear the pure spirit of the Belgian school, with its silhouettes dominated by symmetrical shapes, raw materials, fluid or harsh lines and destructured cuts.

Philippe Dubuc
The most famous Montrealer designer is known for his urban, precise and edgy style. Mastered cuts, meticulous finish, mineral tones, and modern materials often smoothed and textured give perfect silhouettes at the very edge of fashion.

L.G.B.
The creative team behind this Japanese brand called Le Grand Bleu continues to reinvent the construction of clothing. It’s by hand acting on each piece produced this brand continues to amaze us with his creativity and daring.

Antoni et Alison
For 25 years, this English couple of designers has delighted the world of fashion with sharp feminine creations – in a kind of stylish UFO – between genius, eclecticism, freshness, irony and humour. So British. Trompe-l’œil are expecting.

Ilaria Nistri
Leather and metal versus aerial and intangible materials and the strictness of proportions versus the sensuality of fabrics are the contrasting elements that make up Ilaria Nasri’s style, as shown in her clean cut jackets and pants wed to the fluidity of mesh and silk.

Mad et Len
Unique and hand-crafted candles and ambiance room sprays produced on a small scale help rediscover the tradition of apothecary perfumes made by request. These divine and pure fragrances bring back a flood of sweet memories.

MiharaYasuhiro
Japanese designer based in Tokyo. He stands out thanks to his designs for men and women with rich materials and clean lines. In the 2009 Spring/Summer season, the international press recognized his tremendous talent by naming him one of the top 10 most talented designers during Paris’ Fashion Week.

Jean Colonna
The Parisian designer is known internationally for his incredible work on silk and cashmere. In his hands, the chic pullover takes on a new shape. It becomes transparent, layered, a precious veil of softness hand-crafted in Nepal.

Goti
Italian designer Riccardo Goti started his own label in 2002. He uses leather with mixes of copper and silver, giving birth to creations with intricate details, beautifully casual, raw and masculine with a touch of sensual femininity.

Richard de Latour
Vincent Richard de Latour is a Parisian fashion designer but also a career painter. His silk-screen printed jewels on grain leather are true works of art and each piece is unique.
