NL Architects: Mark Linneman, Kamiel Klaase – Amazing Discoveries

Lecture date: 2000-11-16

NL Architects commuting office started when Pieter Bannenberg, Walter van Dijk, Kamiel Klaase and Mark Linnemann began car-pooling between their homes in Amsterdam and their education in Delft. The offices recurrent fascination with mobility and tarmac might have its roots in this motorway education. Other projects focus on ordinary aspects of everyday life – including the unappreciated and the negative – that are enhanced and twisted to bring out hidden potentials.

NL discuss their recent projects, explaining their inspiration, their use of design tools, the technicalities of the built work, and how as architects they play on the gaps in Netherlands laws while investigating new social structures and expectations.
