Pritzker Prize winning French architect Jean Nouvel will appear in a special public event at the Melbourne School of Design on May 2.

Mr Nouvel will participate in an intimate conversation led by well-known architectural Editor and Publisher, Andrew Mackenzie.

Jean Nouvel is a French architect who studied at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris and was a founding member of Mars 1976 and Syndicat de l’Architecture. He has been awarded many prestigious prizes during his career, including the Aga Khan Award for Architecture for the Institut du Monde Arabe in 1989, the Wolf Prize in Arts in 2005 and the Pritzker Prize in 2008. A number of museums and architectural centres have presented retrospectives of his work.

Ateliers Jean Nouvel, his present practice, was formed in 1994 with Michel Pélissié and is one of the largest in France. Ateliers Jean Nouvel site offices are in Rome, Geneva, Madrid and Barcelona.
