The Moth: Stories from Behind the Scenes of Nonfiction Film
Wednesday, February 18, 2009
7:15 p.m.

The Moth, a ten-year-old New Yorkbased nonprofit arts organization dedicated to the art of storytelling, sponsors shows that have been called “New York’s hottest and hippest literary ticket” (The Wall Street Journal). Featuring old-fashioned storytelling on thoroughly modern themes, each show is cast with five raconteurs who share unscripted tales from their wildly divergent lives. This evening’s participants include filmmakers, film subjects, and writers relating behind-the-scenes stories of documentary filmmaking. Organized by Sally Berger; filmmaker and anthropologist Pegi Vail; and Catherine Burns, artistic director of The Moth. For more information, visit www.themoth.org.
