In this video i show you how to model a tradition Chinese styled roof in Revit. You will need to use roof by extrusion and you will need to use the vertical cut out.
First I set the units, then I model the walls. After that I place a couple of Reference planes. The roof is modeled like a roof by extrusion.

UN – Project Units
CS – Create Similar
RP – Reference Plane
WA – Wall
TR – Trim / Extend
SL – Split Element
