On February 16, 2012, we were honored to host Stanley Greenberg for the latest Live Interview at Studio-X NYC. Stanley Greenberg is widely celebrated for his photographic studies of New York City infrastructure, from remote dams and reservoirs located far outside the city to underground pieces of the metropolis now off-limits to photographers.

His most recent work, published under the title Time Machines, is a globe-trotting study of large-scale physics equipment. The telescopes, particle accelerators, spectrometers, ion traps, and LIDAR installations featured in the book combine an overwhelming density of function with the strange poetry of advanced scientific endeavors. “To find the sites in this book,” Greenberg explains in a brief afterword, “I traveled over 80,000 miles, by plane, bus, train, car and on foot. I went deep underground, high up in the mountains, and to the southernmost point on the earth.”
