Pierre Chabard, chercheur en résidence en 2013, présente ses travaux sur l’institutionnalisation du champ culturel de l’architecture dans les années 1975-1985, à travers l’analyse des premières expositions du CCA, et en particulier Photographie et Architecture, 1839-1939 qui a circulé en Europe et en Amérique entre 1982 et 1984. Chabard est architecte, historien et critique d’architecture, maître-assistant à l’Ecole nationale supérieure d’architecture Paris La-Villette et membre-fondateur de la revue Criticat.
Le programme d’accueil de chercheurs encourage la recherche novatrice en histoire, théorie et critique de l’architecture au niveau postdoctoral pendant des résidences d’un à huit mois au Centre d’étude. Tous les séminaires du Centre d’étude sont gratuits et ouverts au public.
2013 Visiting Scholar Pierre Chabard presents his work on how the cultural field of architecture became institutionalized from 1975 to 1985. He begins with a study of the CCA’s first exhibitions, particularly Photography and Architecture, 1839-1939, which traveled Europe and America between 1982 and 1984. Chabard is an architect, historian and architectural critic, assistant professor at the Ecole nationale supérieure d’architecture Paris La-Villette and founding member of the magazine Criticat.
The Visiting Scholars Program invites scholars at the post-doctoral level to undertake innovative research in the history, theory, and criticism of architecture during residencies of one to eight months at the Study Centre. Study Centre presentations are free and open to the public.
