Jeff Kipnis, critic, curator, theorist of contemporary architecture, discusses his work as a designer. Concentrating on notions of emergent sensibility and liquid space – as exemplified in schools, swarms, flocks – Kipnis illustrates his lecture with his own recent projects including a shelving system that utilises the school of fish effect and a large scale urban project for Bangkok.
Jeff Kipnis is a Professor at the Knowlton School of Architecture, Ohio, and was the founder and first Director of the AAs Graduate Design Group from 1992-95.
