A handful of students from Otis College of Art and Design visited The Future/Blind headquarters to attend a workshop hosted by Chris Do. In this completely interactive workshop, Otis students without experience asked questions about doing business in the creative industry.
How do you balance work and play while staying productive?
Chris Do tackles the concern of one Otis student regarding one’s ability to balance. In contrast to popular opinion, Chris’ belief is that one should aspire to work-life integration instead of work-life balance.
The Futur is fast becoming a primary asset at Blind, and Chris expands on how it’s not only a perfect intersection of his professional skills of design, education, and film but how it integrates into his life.
Creative management styles and their results are covered, as Chris explains how he does and doesn’t guide his employees and contractors to solve creative problems. The importance of employee autonomy and the benefits of are stressed as Blind’s management methodology is broken down.
Chris wraps up the video by expanding on his personal interest and how his love of learning transformed into his love of teaching
