Gilbert & George: Charcoal on Paper Sculptures

Although Gilbert & George created work in a variety of mediums, they considered everything they did to be sculpture. Here, the artists recount their process for creating new work for a 1970 show with gallerist Konrad Fischer in Düsseldorf, and the importance of leaving something behind for their audience.
