Ever since Gavin Turk presented a Blue Heritage plaque on the wall of his Royal College Degree show stating Gavin Turk worked here, for which he was refused his degree certificate, his work has raised questions regarding the identity and self-image of the artist. Using self-portraits, the artists signature, images of himself in various guises, Turk dismembers his own persona as artist and reinvents himself with each new project.
