Critical Pleasures: Drawing on a Life A Day in Memory of Robin Evans – Part 3

Lecture date: 1993-05-27

A day in memorial of Robin Evans (1944-1993), an inspirational educator and highly original historian of architecture. After completing his studies at the AA in 1969, Evans taught at the AA in First Year and the Diploma School, and subsequently at Bennington College, the Bartlett, Columbia, Harvard, and the Polytechnic of Central London. Drawing on first-hand experience and arriving at his insights from direct observation, his writings covered a wide range of concerns: society’s role in the evolution and development of building types, aspects of geometry, modes of projection, military architecture, representation of all kinds.

Introduction: Andrew Holmes.
