MIT Architecture | Fall 2022 Lecture Series

A conversation among four local contributors to Log 54, Lisa Haber-Thomson, Timothy Hyde, Cristina Parreño Alonso, J. Yolande Daniels, and moderated by coeditors by Ana Miljački and Ann Lui.

The journal examines architecture’s reliance on the idea of the single, signature author, that myth’s constant destabilization by actual contingencies and complexities of practice, and the ways in which habit and law are summoned to regulate the relationship between the two. This event will explore the ways that architects and designers coauthor with material and economic circumstances, with institutions, with history and time, with codes, and with each other.
