Professor of Architecture and Director of Visual Studies, Laura Kurgan, will present the current work of the Center for Spatial Research (CSR), which she also directs. A hub for urban research that links design, architecture, urbanism, the humanities, and data science. CSR sponsors research and curricular activities built around new technologies of mapping, data visualization, data collection, and data analysis. Currently, projects include: Mapping the Politics of Care, The Urban History of Algorithms, Historical New York City and Public Interest Technology.
