THE END OF THE WORLD PARTY by Julien Levy

A concept film for the release of ‘The Dresscodes’ new album, band member Ryohei Shima and director Julien Levy conceived their idea for the film based on their mutual fascination with the end of humanity as we know it. Aimed as a message for the youth of Japan, the film obsesses over the idea that ecological disaster, artificial intelligence and inescapable inequality are about to converge.

The film’s protagonists are lost souls, punks and outcasts who organize a bleak party for the end of the world. The viewer only sees the preface and coda of the party, but are left with the emotional remnants it leaves behind.
