Building Stories – The Awards Talks: Kingston University Townhouse

In this video, special guests Yvonne Farrell and Shelley McNamara (Grafton Architects) and Sir Peter Cook (Archigram) bring the story of this 2021 Stirling Prize-winning project to life – part of a series celebrating RIBA award-winning buildings.

This is a recording of an in-person event that took place on 12 July 2022.

Each week architects reveal what it takes to design and deliver an inspiring and impactful building, followed by a live interactive Q&A session. The event is hosted by Sir Peter Cook, founder of Archigram and CRAB Studio

Welcoming back students after more than a year of COVID-19, the Kingston University Townhouse is a confirmation of the value of a live university experience. A progressive new model for the design of higher education buildings, the dynamic student Town House expertly captures the spirit of learning and the value of community cohesion.
