In this video, special guests Seth Stein and Andrew Abdulezer (Seth Stein Architects Ltd) and Iain King (Loader Monteith) join us for this lunchtime talk – part of a series celebrating RIBA award-winning buildings.

This is a recording of an online event that took place on 21 February 2023.

Hosted by Tracy Meller (RSHP), the panel share the story behind Creek House and High Sunderland – followed by a live interactive Q&A session.

Creek House, Seth Stein Architects Ltd – a simple, elegant, and meticulously delivered family home overlooking the creek. Despite the extensive footprint, the scale intelligently works within the landscape and provides a serene environment for occupants and visitors, winning a 2022 RIBA South West Award and National Award.

High Sunderland, Loader Monteith – a 1957 Category-A listed modernist icon that suffered extensive structural and surface damage when a small fire broke out, the new owners took it as a positive opportunity to restore and enhance the energy efficiency to preserve its legacy for years to come. Setting a high standard for the impending future of modernist restoration work across the world, it won a 2022 RIAS Award and RIBA National Award.
