Behind the Monochromatic Metal and Brick Facade Is a Vibrant and Lush Interior

In Melbourne’s inner heritage-rich Albert Park sits a mix-used development, spread over three levels, comprising of two levels of a single commercial tenancy and a two-bedroom apartment at the top. The client resides in the apartment while operating his business out of the commercial space below.

From the outside, the building has two faces, an expanded metal mesh facade to the heritage commercial street, and a dark-grey brick facade at the rear lane that sits in a more residential context. This monochromatic material palette is contrasted in the apartment, with vibrant and lush walls, mixed with brass and timber finishes.
