Both Barclay + Crousse are the Spring 2020 Shure Visiting Professors at UVA School of Architecture. Their lecture, Landscapes of Intimacy, presented their design process and architectural approach developed for projects sited within the Peruvian coastal desert. These projects explore the bonds between landscape, climate and architecture. Working with what is available, Barclay + Crousse interrogate the possibilities and limits within architectural engagement to formulate the meanings that their buildings will ultimately convey.
