French Practice Barrault Pressacco presented this year’s Rick Mather lecture, celebrating the work of architects who are making important contributions to thinking about sustainability today.
Barrault Pressacco is an architectural firm undertaking pioneering work in the field of sustainability. They recently published research project ‘Wallness’, a rethinking of the tectonic potential of building construction in light of increasing demands for insulation.
Barrault Pressacco’s built work includes the RIVP apartments in Paris which demonstrates the enduring relevance of loadbearing stone construction to contemporary housing.
This lecture was recorded on Wednesday 3rd September at the Barbican Centre as part of the Architecture on Stage lecture series.
