A lecture by Cristina Díaz Moreno and Efrén Ga Grinda, co-founders of amid.cero9.

amid.cero9 cultivates a post-digital, aferterpop approach to the contemporary notion of space that enlists socioloogy, technology, media, politics and representation in projects ranging from architecture to design, ecosystemic studies, and hybrid urban projects.

Díaz Moreno and Ga Grinda founded amid.cero9 in 1997 and are Diploma Unit Masters at the Architectectural Association School in London since 2009 as well as the directors of Option Studio at Harvard GSD since 2015 and Directors at SAC Städelschule Architectural class in Frankfurt since 2016. Previously they taught in the Institut Für Kunst und Architectur Akademie de BildendenKünste in Vienna and together in Madrid from 1998 until 2013 at ETSAM and ESAYA UEM. they have been visiting professors and lecturers throughout Europe, Asia and the US. Their projects have been widely disseminated and they have won more than 40 prizes in national and insternations competitions. Their projects and writings of the last 15 years were published in the 2014 mongraph Third Natures, a Micropedia Recent projects include Golden Baloon for MOT Tokyo, Palm Pavilion for Sharjah, United Emirates and Giner de los Ríos Foundation, the Institucion Libre de Enseñanza, Madrid. Recently a monograph of their work was published in El Croquis no 184.
