Peter Swinnen is one of three partners at 51N4E, co-founded in 2000, and winners of the prestigious Rotterdam Maaskant Award for Young Architects in 2003. Focusing on 51N4E’s space arsenal of the last five years – an array of projects that testify to the ever-growing elasticity of the architect’s role (from inventor to ghostwriter) and the implications of this on conditions of authorship – Swinnen shows projects in their evolutionary development, not as final objects.
Peter Swinnen studied architecture at the AA and the Saint-Lucas School of Architecture in Brussels. He teaches at the La Cambre Architecture school in Brussels.
