Raoul Bunschoten – Urban Flotsam: Stirring The City

Lecture date: 1998-01-26

Chora, founded by Raoul Bunschoten, is involved in the creation, investigation and testing of new forms of urban planning, urban policy and urban design. Its primary interest is in contemporary urbanism undergoing political, economic, social and cultural upheaval. Bunschotens way of uncovering an urban structure is to read the city by following urban taxonomies, defining those areas by testing narratives with provocative scenarios.

Raoul Bunschoten is an architect and a former Diploma Unit Master at the AA.
