With our current waste disposal crisis, recycling has never been more critical. This is why initiatives that call for a drastic change in ‘business as usual’ are very much needed.
Nizar Haddad holds a specialized graduate degree in architecture from the Academie Libanaise des Beaux Arts (ALBA). Son of Georges Haddad, a veteran Lebanese architect renowned for being among the pioneers who introduced modern architecture to Lebanon, Nizar hopes to use the knowledge passed down to him in a bid to bridge the divide between modern man and nature in terms of his designs. He developed the LIFEHAUS while revisiting and applying multiple long forgotten ancestral building methods and employing the knowledge of these masters to produce the most optimal, ecological, self-sufficient and economical prototype.
