Sponsored by the Bruner Foundation as part of its Exploring Urban Excellence Series
The session will introduce the Rudy Bruner Award for Urban Excellence (RBA) and invite discussion of its use as a foundation for design education, planning and development practice, scholarship, and public engagement. RBA is a national design award that recognizes transformative urban places that contribute to the economic, environmental, and social vitality of American cities. The program offers more than three decades of research, evaluation and writing on architecture, urban design and development including 88 in-depth medalist case studies that offer insight into the collaborative process of placemaking and the evolution of places and practices over time.
