XIRO – a company focuses on R&D and manufacture of drones, is honored with Red Dot Design Awards 2016. With three products’ application, all of the three gain the jurors’ approval and the glory of excellence in industrial design.

XIRO Xplorer V received the most prestigious “Best of the Best Product Design Award”, while the as-yet-launched Xplorer 2 and Xplorer mini received the Reddot Product Design Award. 

Outstanding Performance in International Industrial Design Awards

The annual Red Dot Design Award is recognized internationally as one of the global foremost industrial design awards, together with Germany’s “iF Awards” and USA’s “IDEA Awards”, which are collectively known as the world’s top three design awards and dubbed as the “Oscars of International Design”. Before Reddot, XIRO Xplorer had received five awards including Germany’s iF, Japan’s G-Mark and Taiwan’s Golden Pin Design awards. Now it welcomed the addition of the highly prestigious Best of the Best Red Dot Award. The Best of the Best Award is selected from among the Red Dot Award winners, giving it a 1.5% chance of unmanned aerial vehicle and even the consumer electronics products industry for all the recognition received from both local and international award bodies.

Xplorer V–a classic design of XIRO, almost as with a crystal, this kind of design arranges the elements in a spiral pattern to create an enclosed shape. The drone adopts an easy-to-follow modular design, a specific form with elegance and technology sense unseen in the peer industry. It can be easily disassembled without the need for tools and can be maintained properly even by the average person. The gimbal, battery and control module are available individually, an approach that reduces maintain costs. In addition, an intelligent battery management ensures that it will return automatically when it flies beyond the effective remote control distance or if the battery runs low, this drone offers a high degree of safety.
