UNStudio and Cox Architecture’s pair of twisting green towers has won a competition to design a supertall skyscraper for Melbourne.
Called Green Spine, the tallest of the twinned towers will reach 356.2 metres high and be topped by a botanic garden. Greenery will burst through the glass facades on the facing sides that twist towards each other.
“We will do our utmost to contribute to a healthier and future-proof Southbank and wider Melbourne with our ​Green Spine​,” said UNStudio co-founder Caroline Bos.
