The search for what is out there | Trey Ratcliff | TEDxQueenstown

Many people may have artistic heroes. Trey, as a master of imagery is the creator of so many visuals that burn into our mind and particularly arrest our own notion of what is real. Trey meanders with us through important moments in his life, beginning with some difficulty and then realising in hindsight that sometimes you must ‘stumbl(e) into your own greatness’.

Best known for his blog ‘Stuck In Customs’ which became the #1 travel photography blog on the internet, Trey Ratcliff uses HDR photography to enlighten, surprise and entertain. Starting early with his sharing Google quickly tracked billions of views, which to him, is still mind boggling. Originally from Texas, Trey now calls Queenstown, New Zealand home.

This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.

About TEDx

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized. (Subject to certain rules and regulations.)
