I have almost 15 years experience at being a freelance graphic designer, and so todays video is going to shed light on the topic, and I hope that you will find the content useful and eye-opening. I have some really awesome tips for freelancing as a designer!
I’m not saying that freelance graphic design is impossible or even the wrong thing to do. I’m saying that not every graphic designer out there will be cut out or mentally dispositioned to move into freelancing. They will be more at home in a team, or in the worst case, not being a designer at all.
There are a lot of perks and upshots when it comes to being a freelance graphic designer, but there are also quite a few downsides too — like with most things in life. You need to be fully aware of both sides of the coin before you jump head-first into the world of freelance graphic design. You can become unstuck very easily and find yourself in a whole lot of trouble, if you don’t know exactly what you’re doing.
But don’t worry, this isn’t a doom and gloom type of video. The aim of this upload is to being the awareness to those who want to become a freelance graphic designer, so that they can then make the right decision based on their opinions, mindset and personal situation.
