Traditional Korean paper is cut, torn and rolled by hand to form garments of Sun Lee’s Consumption of Heritage collection, which aims to revive the importance of craft in a society of fast fashion.
A graduate of Design Academy Eindhoven, South Korean-fashion designer Lee created the six-piece collection after seeing the amount of clothing waste thrown away at the end of every season.
Handmade hanji paper and hansan-mosi fabric creates the modular clothing pieces, designed to be easily recycled to embrace the circular economy in fashion.
