Stephen Penhoet (January 16, 1998)

Stephen Penhoet presents an overview of the development
and construction of a biotechnology center in Emeryville, California. This project presented a unique opportunity for collaboration between scientists, engineers, and the architect Ricardo Legorreta. Penhoet describes some of the challenges faced in the coordination of an architectural vision with the exacting technical requirements of a laboratory setting.
