In this video, I talk about my thoughts on getting a master’s degree in architecture. As always, what YOU should do depends on what your goals are and what your situation is. The purpose of this video is to share with you my decision and my thought process so that you can take it with a grain of salt and make your own decision about what is best for you.
I will also admit that one of my BIASES is that I have been working at a great firm that has won several design awards in my time there (Robert M. Cain, Architect: http://www.robertmcain.com/) I admit that if I was at a mediocre firm that did poor design work, then I might have a different perspective on the value of a masters degree. But like I said in the video, you have to make your own decisions; you are the one who knows what is best for you, and you’re the one who has to live with the consequences of your decisions.
