RSAW Revealing Wales – Series 2: Grange Pavilion / Pafiliwn Grange

Revealing Wales is a series from The Royal Society of Architecture in Wales that celebrates the nation’s great buildings and structures.

Grange Pavilion seems simultaneously stylish and modest – exciting enough to capture one’s interest and attention, but not so flashy that it obscures its setting… The building is less an enclosed space within the park, more a gentle enclosing of the park itself – an extension and development of an open space captured and supported by the building’s structure. Ruba Sivagnanam, a Councillor in the Vale of Glamorgan and Senior Caseworker for Stephen Doughty MP, provides a unique insight into the history and design of Grangetown’s Grange Pavilion, realised by Benham Architects in collaboration with IBI Group.

RSAW has created this series of short films celebrating the richness, quality, and diversity of the built environment of Wales. This series of films aims to capture the imagination of anyone interested in the history of Welsh architecture. Produced by Lyndon Jones Media, the films explore the diversity and richness of Welsh culture for all to enjoy.
