John Dennys Memorial Lecture: John Dennys was involved with the AA over a period of 27 years – as a student, lecturer, member of Council, and President. On his death in 1973, a visiting lectureship was established to mark his interest in education. Richard Meier talks about his built projects and introduces his ideas not only via functional, programmatic or topological concerns but through the physical, social and historical context of the cities in which his work is located. Discussing the thematic integration of the old and the new, he argues that New Harmony should be seen as a modern phenomenon of preservation.
