Chris Precht’s beautiful scaled models not only highlight his designs but they make his proposals that much more attractive. It took me a little while to realize that they were in fact realistically rendered, and I made my attempts to replicate his style with Rhino and V-ray.

Architectural models are sometimes made to study the interaction of volumes, different viewpoints, or concepts during the design process. They may also be useful in explaining a complicated or unusual design to builders, or as a focus for discussion between designers and stakeholders.
