Psychiatrist: The Architecture of the Book

Deemed one of the world’s best book designers by the New York Times, Amsterdam-based graphic designer Irma Boom presents an overview of her portfolio for The Graphics Project. Boom’s acclaimed work includes collaborations with Archis, AMO, and C-Lab for Volume, Rem Koolhaas for Project Japan: Metabolism Talks, and the many publications included within the Institut Néerlandais exhibition Irma Boom: L’architecture du livre.

The Graphics Project at GSAPP conducts two weekend‑long series of lectures, seminars, tutorials and workshops focused on successful portfolio making. See winning student portfolios, learn how to use good typefaces, hear a world-famous book designer’s creative process, listen to the editor of the acclaimed AA Files discuss his rethinking of the journal, and get access to resources in New York and beyond.
