The lecture will examine climatic considerations and the significance of local climatic variations. Using some worked examples it will look at prioritising design initiatives and of measurement of environmental performance.Piers Heath is a senior partner at Foster + Partners and leads the practice’s Environmental Engineering team. Prior to this, he founded PHA Consult, where he devised innovative environmental strategies for projects around the world, including the Masdar Institute in Abu Dhabi – the first building of its kind to be powered entirely by renewable energy.
