Parisian artist-designer Garance Vallée finds power in creative obsession with Nike Shox and Courir



Parisian artist, architect and designer Garance Vallée has built her multidisciplinary practice on a clear obsession with her craft – integrating spatial experimentation with a disruptive sense of play. In the short documentary Contre Courant, translated as Against the Current, Garance unlocks the creative ambition and state of mind that has long been her driving force, as she moves between her 19th arrondissement studio and the immersive stage set she created for choreographer Léo Walk and his dance company La Marche Bleue.

Partnering with Nike and French sneaker specialist Courir, director duo Kourtrajmeuf spotlights Garance’s unique creative voice, and what it means to redefine the rules with her boundary-pushing spaces, objects, and scenography.
