Columbus, Ohio
Having opened during the summer of 2012, this brand new addition to the Nationwide Children’s Hospital campus replaces the older hospital, which will now be renovated for Outpatient services, doctors offices and more. The new hospital, which is one America’s largest pediatric expansions ever, hold 552 yes with 62 rooms being in just the ER. Sitting on six acres of surrounding green space, the hospital has a LEED-Gold certified energy plant. One last outstanding feature of NW Children’s Hospital is the heated helipad that is large enough for a Black Hawk helicopter in case of any disaster.
