My Place: Charli XCX



In this episode of My Place, Charli XCX reveals that over a decade on from playing warehouse parties and clubs she still has the party spirit. Her 1920s Tudor-style home in the Hollywood Hills contains an asymmetrical assemblage of keyboards, novelty-sized objects, taxidermy, bunting and photographs.

The two-story living room at the heart of the timbered-framed house is designated “the party zone” where the “Boom Clap” singer welcomes a revolving door of party guests. It was at one of these own infamous gatherings where she met Australian musician Troye Sivan with whom she went on to release the nostalgia-driven track “1999” earlier this year.
