The first edition of the Durabilys Awards was held on Wednesday, March 23rd at the Palais des congrès and on this occasion Menkès Shooner Dagenais Letourneux Architectes won the Award of Excellence for the Maison du développement durable in the LEED New Construction and Major Renovation category.
Created by the Canadian Green Building Council, these awards recognize and reward projects which exemplify sustainable development in Québec. The competition featured a total of 12 categories including five types of LEED certifications.
As the first building to receive a LEED NC Platinum certification in Québec, the highest possible distinction in the LEED evaluation system for sustainable buildings, the Maison du développement durable favored an exemplary integrated design approach.
